- CYPRESS MOUNTAIN

Take the Trans-Canada (Highway 1) westbound towards
Horseshoe Bay. Get off at Exit 8, and follow the 3 lane,
paved mountain road with spectacular views of the city on
your way to the Cypress Mountain parking lot.
Whether it's during the day or at night, you can enjoy
Cypress Mountain's alpine thrills. Divided between two
mountains, 23 pistes provide a challenge during the day,
while all of the major runs stay open under the lights
until 11 p.m. Along with skiing and boarding, there is
snowshoeing, Nordic skiing at one of the most popular
cross country areas in Canada, tubing and tobogganing.

Follow Hwy. I west into Vancouver, cross the Second Narrows Bridge, follow Hwy #1 to posted signs
directing you to Grouse.
Vancouver's winter wonderland, just 15 minutes from downtown. Drive up and catch the aerial Skyride to the 1110m summit
for a panoramic view of land, sea and sparkling city lights.
Night skiing, rentals/repairs, ski school, restaurants, gift shop, Theater in the Sky, horse-drawn
sleigh rides, helicopter adventure tours, Terrain Park.

Head north on Hwy. #11 from Abbotsford to Mission, then east on Hwy #7, then north on Morris Valley Road (approx. 40
km to Hemlock).

care. Day lodge, cafeteria, bistro, fireplace lounge with superb view of mountains,
overnight accommodations, ski shop, snowboard - half pipe, disabled skiers program.

From Abbotsford, take Hwy 1 to Hope and turn right on Hwy
3 turn pike. Follow Hwy 3 and you will reach Manning Park Resort.
Cross country and downhill skiing, tobogganing/tubing. Ski lessons and equipment
rentals. Day lodge, cafeteria, restaurant, overnight accommodations,
ski shop, snowboard park.
- MOUNT BAKER

From Abbotsford, head south on
Hwy #11 to U.S. border, proceed through Sumas to 3-way stop, turn left, proceed to Mount
Baker Highway.
Excellent downhill and cross country skiing. Rentals, ski and snowboard lessons, kids program, day
lodge, cafeteria, ski shop.
- MOUNT SEYMOUR

Take Hwy #1 west into Vancouver, cross the Second Narrows Bridge, take Deep Cove exit from Upper Levels Hwy,
follow signs to park. Chains may be required at times of extreme snowfalls.
Mount Seymour Provincial Park is located on the North Shore, 14.5
km from downtown Vancouver. With an elevation of 1,455 m, Mt. Seymour is for those who
love skiing, and those learning to love skiing. Ski school, rentals, day lodge with
cafeteria, snowboard and snowshoe adventures.

- FRASER RIVER
Head north on Hwy. #11 towards Mission. River runs parallel to Hwy. #7 and fishing activity in area of Mission Bridge.
Steelhead and Chinook salmon (July - October).
- MILL LAKE
Near town centre - Mill Lake Road off Bourquin Cr. East.
Some large and lots of small Rainbows stocked annually. Fishing best in spring and fall. Beautiful boardwalk. No power boats allowed.
- MORRIS LAKE
Can be fished by car, 12 km northeast of Harrison Mills on Morris Valley Rd. Follow the road turning off to the east just past Weaver Creek Spawning Channel.
Cutthroat and Rainbow fishing best in spring and fall.
Coho Salmon in the fall. Occasionally, Steelhead catch in the winter.
- ROLLEY LAKE
Head west on Hwy. #7 to Hayward, north on Hayward to Dewdney Trunk. East on Dewdney Trunk, left on Bell Street & north
to Rolley Lake. Approx. 13 km northwest of Mission.
Has Cutthroat, Dolly Vardon, and brown Bullhead, and is frequently stocked with
rainbow. Fishing is best in spring and fall. No power boats allowed.
- STAVE LAKE
Reach south end of the lake by car at Stave Falls, north of Ruskin.
Cutthroat to 1 kg, Rainbow, Kokanee and Dolly Varden.
This lake is hazardous due to submerged snags, floating logs, cold water and high winds.
- STAVE RIVER
Accessible by car at Stave Falls via Lougheed Hwy. #7 at Ruskin.
Cutthroat, Dolly Varden, Coho (best in the fall), Whitefish (best in spring), Steelhead
(winter), Spring Salmon are caught at the mouth during spring and summer.
5 km fishable - flows from Ruskin Dam to Fraser River.
- SUMAS RIVER
East on Hwy #1, left at Sumas Mt. Road. Immediate right on North Parallel Road, proceed approx. 3 km east. Boat launching
site/parking at Sumas Pumping Station, 1.5 km from junction of Vedder Canal.
Coho (mid September - December), Dolly Varden, Coho, Cutthroat, Steelhead and Sturgeon
(spring and fall).
- VEDDER RIVER
Head east on Hwy. #1, exit at Sardis, proceed to Vedder Crossing to bridge, turn left at river.
Coho (mid September - December), Steel head (December - March), limited Whitefish (April - September).
- WEAVER CREEK
Head east on Hwy. #7 from Mission, approx. 10 km northeast of Harrison Bay.
Steelhead (December - March). The Weaver Creek salmon spawning area is a popular
attraction, with viewing from October into early November. The fish enter the artificial
channels, constructed in a series of hairpin bends, through entry gates from the creek.
Fish spawn and die in the Weaver Creek channels as part of their life cycle.
