Our Mission

The mission of the MSA Museum Society is to be the memory of the community by preserving and interpreting its history. Functions of this mandate are to collect, preserve, study and exhibit artifacts and archival material, and to educate and entertain the public.

The Museum is a registered non-profit society that depends on government grants, private donations and fund-raising efforts to provide its services to the people of Abbotsford.

A Multicultural Look at the Holidays

December 4 – 20—Grades 2—5

This program will highlight Abbotsford’s multicultural diversity with a look at winter celebrations from around the globe. Students will make an ethnic craft to take home.

Curriculum focus: Multiculturalism & Immigration.
Program Length: one hour
Cost $3.00/student.
Location: Museum Annex

November 22 - Christmas in Trethewey House

November 22, 10 am - 2 pm. Enjoy seasonal decorations and period Christmas Tree in Trethewey House, tea and hot apple cider in the dining room and selected crafts for sale in the house. Sit down to enjoy fresh baking from Kitchen Kreations or take some home.  Buy chocolate treats for kids of all ages from Angel Kiss confections.  Yvonne Holden will be here with her beautiful work and an opportunity for visitors to actually try weaving!  Audrey Fatkin's offerings will include her very popular Raku pottery. There will be free place card and paper bead making for kids in Heritage Gallery.  Call 604-853-0313 to register.  Parents are welcome!
